Parenting on the Move with Pigeon and Quinny

For its first-ever event in a relaxing house format, Richwell, the local distributor of Pigeon and Quinny in the Philippines, recently kicked off its Parenting on the Move campaign on McKinley Road, Forbes Park in Makati.

To every guest mom’s delight, the “house tour” featured well-researched baby and kids products that help parents save time from doing trial-and-error, thus letting them squeeze in time to pursue their passion.

Richwell and Ogalala World COO Maye Yao Co Say, who is a mother of two and a resource person on practical parenting, explains how the present generation of parents tries to have the right mindset when it comes to becoming parents with a purpose:

“From a generation of giving everything to your kids and sacrificing work, I learn from today’s moms that whether they’re a stay-at-home busy mom or having a full-time job, all moms have a certain sense of purpose. We wanted to find the way on how to connect the two: parents having purpose as well as enjoying your parenthood. It’s really ‘time.’ That’s why we came up with this Parenting on the Move campaign — to show that it is possible. It’s about mindset. In a nutshell, it’s about making the right decisions. If you make the right decisions from the start, there’s no need for trial and error. Any trial and error is a waste of time.”

Parenting on the Move refers to enabling parents to still pursue their own goals and passions even when they already have a family. Doing so doesn’t mean that they’re selfish, in fact, if you are happy and fulfilled on your own, it’ll lead to becoming a better parent to your child, and a better partner to your better half. Having a baby doesn’t mean that parents are supposed to just abandon their goals, in fact, it should make them more inspired to pursue them.

Celebrity mom Isabelle “Belle” Daza-Semblat perfectly embodies a first-time parent who juggles many roles, making her one of the perfect endorsers of Pigeon and Quinny. On the event itself, cute and fuzzy Balthazar tore her mom Belle’s cue cards, only showing that parenting makes celebrities more human.

“For the past few months, Pigeon and Quinny have made our family life easier because they have done the research. They did tests way beyond global standards. I believe I worried a lot less than I thought I would because I have complete trust. It only makes me look forward to the journey ahead,” says Belle.

Being the No. 1 Baby Care brand in Japan, Pigeon has over 60 years experience in the industry and been at the forefront of newborn skin-care technology. The brand has developed the Natulayer technology, which is a layer of ingredients that mimics the natural coat of protection found on the baby’s skin in the womb.

Included in Pigeon’s Newborn Pure collection is the Newborn Pure Body Wash, Shampoo, Lotion, Oil and Protective Cream. Making use of natural ingredients, these products contain zero paraben, formaldehyde and alcohol. It is also pH-balanced to ensure that it is safe and gentle for baby’s skin with the added dual moisturization of Natulayer.

The brand’s other famous products are the Hand and Mouth Wipes and Liquid Cleanser, which are 100-percent food grade. To prove this and to everyone’s amazement, Pigeon executive overseas manager Yuta Hagiwara bravely drank a portion of the liquid cleanser during the event.

Developed in Europe, Quinny is a premier lifestyle juvenile brand with a proud tradition of over 25 years in stroller mobility. Quinny products that Belle enjoys using are the Quinny Moodd and Zapp Flex. An iconic stroller that offers a comfortable and stylish ride from birth until 3½ years old, the Quinny Moodd also offers intelligent features, like quick automatic unfolding and easy folding. Meanwhile, designed to make parents’ lives easier, the Zapp Flex is a highly maneuverable, lightweight, and comfortable solution. It is one stroller with endless possibilities: with its versatile reversible seat you can let your younger child face you for enhanced bonding moments, or turn the seat forward to give an older child a view of the streets ahead: the stroller features multiple recline in both rear and forward-facing positions.
